BabyKicks Prefold

Go Green Baby Co. offers a variety of eco-friendly products for baby and parents. They have a nice selection of cloth diapering products as well. Katie, the owner contacted me wanting to sponsor our Under Cover event. She generously offered to send me a Baby Kicks hemp prefold as well as a Bummis Polar Fleece cover to review. She shipped them out nice and fast and had them wrapped up nice and cute with a ribbon and note.

Because this is Prefold week I am going to share about the BabyKicks prefold I received. The material used is an extremely soft hemp fleece. When I opened this up after getting it in the mail I knew I was going to like it. Even after washing it, it has remained super soft and comfy for my little guy. The BabyKicks prefolds come with colored stitching along the ends. What this is for is to show what the size of the prefold is. The BabyKicks prefolds come in the following sizes:

(Purple)Small: ~6 to 10lbs
(Green)Medium: ~10 to 15lbs
(Red)Large: ~15 to 25lbs
(Blue)XLarge: ~25lbs +

I got the Large for my chunker boy. You can see the nice red stitching and the softness of the fabric.
The quality of this prefold is amazing. It is the typical rectangle and has 2-3-2 layering of fabric.

Time to finally try it out! The size large fit perfectly on my 21 pound 10 month old. He is right in the middle of the weight range and there is plenty of room for him to grow and still be able to use this prefold.

As you can see in the picture below there isn't hardly any bulk with this prefold. I even have it folded down about 3 inches in the front. I used a snappi to secure it on and had no problems getting it hooked to the material.
This picture amazes me because my little guy is so chunky but here he looks so trim! This is with the BabyKicks prefold underneath a Thirsties cover. He has like no butt to him and the front doesn't buldge out at all.So what do I think?
Honestly, I have not had one single issue with this prefold. The fit is great, I love how trim it is and he absorbency is amazing! I have used this numerous times at night with success. I will hide a small hemp insert in the middle of it and there is usually a small part of this still dry. The quality of this prefold and how it is made is quite nice. I think it will hold up longer than the cotton prefolds I have because its not weaved like the cotton ones. Also, because its a hemp fleece material it will hold more. This is definitely a great prefold to check out if you are in the market for a hemp on.

Wow! That is a trim prefold. I'd love to try one. Currently I'm using some unbleached, Indian prefolds.

lol Kristina! Thats to funy. I make snappi look pretty! Love it! I honestly can say that the first time I had a snappi I HATED it and returned it. I didn't like anything about it and thought it was a huge pain. Now I have a new one (Thanks to NFS) and I use it all the time. I think with my son now being old I like to have it snappi'ed on rather than just laying in the cover.
