Chunky Monkey Creations - Wipes Case

When it comes to cloth diapering out and about, I feel like most cloth diapering mamas have a pretty easy time taking diapers and wet bags out, but wipes are another story.  I use cloth wipes at home and love them, but I've never figured out a way to take them out with me.  So, I always have a small little package of disposable wipes I take along in my purse or diaper bag for diaper changes and messy faces.  But I hate buying them because I have so many reusable, cloth wipes at home.  Well, I no longer need to buy wipes from the store since I have one of Chunky Monkey Creations' adorable wipes cases!!

Erika, the Mama behind Chunky Monkey Creations, opened her shop in September of 2011.  She loved making custom crafts, and found a way to open up the online store, along with teaching full time, and being a wife and mama!  Erika married her high school sweetheart, and they have two boys, one up in heaven (Cristian), and one here on earth (Maxim).  And that's how Chunky Monkey Creations got their name.  They wanted to use the initials CM for their boys, and as a chubby little baby, Maxim got the nickname "Chunky Monkey," and the name fit perfectly!  They live in lovely Arizona, and in her free time, when she's not grading papers, crafting, and spending time with her boys, she loves window shopping :)

Chunky Monkey Creations is all hand-made, and she has a variety of wipes cases, children's clothing, hair bows, and even superhero capes!  Erika was kind enough to send me one of her adorable wipes cases.

I absolutely love it.  The craftmanship is amazing.  It's padded, the edges area all attached perfectly, and the prints she has are so cute!  It's actually made out of a recycled Huggies wipes case (which I love that she reuses them!!), so it stays shut tight and doesn't let your wipes dry out.

I've been using it for my wipes while we're out and about, but I also thought you could use it for crayons/coloring supplies while you're out.  And Erika also suggested using it for a first aid kit, or even feminine products.  The ideas are endless!

But, as I said, I've been using it for the last few weeks for wipes.  It's a Huggies container, so it's big enough to fit about 8 cloth wipes.  I've just been getting the wipes damp before putting them in there, and they stay damp for a few days!  Just be careful in leaving wet wipes in there so they don't get mildewy.  It's been so handy to have the wipes available while we're out, without having to use disposables, and I just toss the dirty wipes in the wet bag with my diapers.
