Newborn Series: ESBaby Fitted

Today we are featuring ESBaby. Some of you might have heard of this WAHM made fitted diaper. They do also offer other products but we are focusing on the ESorganic newborn fitted diaper.

This is the diaper using the snap down for the u.c.

A little about this diaper:
-fits 7-15+ pounds
-snap-down for baby's healing umbilical cord
-outer layer of hemp fleece
-inner layer of organic sherpa
-cross over snaps

Here is the diaper using the cross over snaps.

The outside of the diaper is very simple and basic, so easy to use and figure out. There is a single row of snaps across the waist, cross over snaps on the tabs and the umbilical cord snap down.

The inside features a snap in soaker which is made with three layers of absorbent hemp.
How I think this diaper will work for us:
Overall I think this diaper will have a nice fit on our bigger babies. I did get it used but it is still in excellent condition with no stains. The snap down for the cord doesn't look like it goes really low so I kind of worry that it might rub on the stump, unless this fitted is more of a low rise fitted and then it wouldn't be a big problem. I think it will be able to hold a decent amount of pee. If baby isn't a heavy wetter then this would probably work nice for night time diapering as well. This is a fitted diaper so it does require a cover.

Tots Bots Easyfit Diapers

When I am asked what my all time favorite diaper is I automatically say the Totsbots Easyfits. Why do I love them? They have a great fit on my son. We got our first one when he was a few months old and it fit him great then and it still fits him at 22 months! Plus the aplix is still as good a new. With this I am so excited to share that TotsBots is working like crazy to spice up their diapers. Let me show you how!

The NEW easyfit diapers will be available in their great aplix and now snaps as well (they call them 'poppers'). The inside material is now made with a super soft minky which is still absorbent but drys way quicker than the bamboo/microfiber inserts in the current easyfits.


The diapers will come in the same great colors but will feature colored rise snaps instead of white as well as colored aplix instead of white. These are the OS easyfits
Here are the OS easyfits in snaps. Once concern I have about these from just looking at them is that if you have a baby with a big tummy that the snap easyfits might not fit as long. The tabs look shorter than on the aplix ones which would result in the shorter fit if you have a chubby belly baby.
and the TinyFit diapers (newborn) will come with the colored aplix as well.Now a part that I really am going to love! The inside of the diaper made with matching colored Minky fabric! so pretty!

Baby O Designs

Last fall, I won a contest on the Baby O Designs Facebook page. I won a gift certificate to her online shop and I immediately know what I was going to get:

The Pirate Prince O'berz Soft Soled Baby Shoes.

My (at the time) 14 month old hated shoes - I'm talking, he would scream and just stand in one spot acting like the shoes were attacking him. When we're out and about, he's usually in the carrier, so it wasn't so much that I needed him to be walking in shoes, but I wanted his feet warm as we entered the winter months. Newborn Series: Charlie Banana XS

The newborn diaper series continues with the Charlie Banana XS.
A little about this diaper:
-This is a pocket diaper, pocket opening in front of diaper
-Fits babies approx. from 8-10 pounds
-Has cross over snaps

Okay so here is the CB XS dipaer up close. I bought this diaper used on a swap site. I am not really a huge fan of black but I think this would be so cute for pictures and under the right outfits. I love the cross over snaps which are great for skinny babies. This does not have an umbilical cord snap down.

It has a single row of snaps across the front of the waist. As well as elastic across the back of the diaper.

The inside of the CB XS is lined with a soft fleece stay dry material which is nice for NB's to have against them. It also has the pocket opening in the front of the diaper.

How do I think this diaper will work for us?
I think this diaper will do fairly well. It is really similar to the Fuzzibunz XS diaper. I am concerned that it doesn't have a snap down for the U.C. which might prevent us from using it right away. We also have bigger babies (8.11 and 9.4) so if the weight range of this diaper is as what Charlie Banana says we probably wouldn't be able to use it very long at all, but I have high hopes that it will fit a longer time frame than they suggest. I also love the cross over snaps on this diaper. These will be great for right away when you have the skinny little NB baby bellies.

These diapers retail for around $17.00 a piece. I was able to purchase mine used on a swap site for around $10.00. These are hard to find used as I believe they are still a fairly new company and not a lot of people are familiar with them and the fact that they have a newborn diaper.

Randumosity Mama Cloth

And my friends who know me "IRL" that read this blog, we're about to become even better friends... ;)

While I was pregnant with our third child two years ago, I started to explore the option of mama cloth. I mean, we'd already been using cloth diapers for a few years, and I was really not loving 1) wasting money on feminine products and 2) the ingredients found in said products.

I purchased a handful of mama cloth (cloth pads) from various WAHM's - I didn't want to commit to one brand and find that it didn't work for me, and boy was I glad! I think I purchased from 5 different shops/sites and the pads either bunched to one side or slid around or were just plain obvious (not good!!)

But then, there was Randumosity. I tried to figure out how to best describe how amazing and well-thought-through these pads are, but, Jami says it best:

"All Randumosity Pads are constructed from 2 layers of flannel, an internal core of organic bamboo batting for absorption and a layer of PUL to make them waterproof. I particularly love that Jami use bamboo in her mama cloth. Through cloth diapering (and just greening up our home in general), I've come to love bamboo as a fiber/material used in our cloth items, whether it be diapers, napkins, nursing pads...or mama cloth.

Randumosity Mama Cloth comes in 9 sizes, from a thong liner to a super pad (for overnight and heavy flow use). Purchasing is so simple. I placed an order and had a friend instantly message me, "You're putting ALIENS in your UNDERWEAR?!?!?!? And more importantly...is that a washable pad?!!?" Dear friend, did I convert you??) :-)

And the best part, you get to customize and pick your fabric. Here is where, if we were talking in person, one on one, I'd say, "Girl, the fabric...you wouldn't BELIEVE what you can pick!!" Seriously. Awesome selection!

And sometimes, there are sales on the Facebook page, this is how I've chosen to build up my stash. I don't have nearly enough mama cloth to make it a full two days, much less a full cycle, but I'm just glad I've found a pad I can trust.
