Macaroni Baby also gave me the chance to review their AI2 diaper. I didn't really think I would be all to fond of the pirate skulls print on this diaper but its pretty cute in person. Im not really one to put skulls on my child but this isn't really to bad! These are OS AI2 diapers and you might be wondering how. These are OS because of how the elastic in the legs is set up. No you don't have to adjust anything as your child grows. Its simply this: The elastic is super stretchy and will fit just right!

There are cross over aplix tabs on the diaper, no snaps anywhere!

This particular insert that I have for the AI2 is a two piece insert that does not snap together or snap on to the shell. This allows the user to put just the correct amount of absorbancy that is needed. You can get a single insert that is long and can be folded to fit your needs. There are also some now that you can snap with. The inside is a soft black velour which is fabulous because you can NEVER see stains on it! lol
Here is the fit on my DS. It looks a little thick between the legs but he was very comfortable in it and didn't have any problems. I thought the fit of the diaper was fantastic because all you have to do is pull the diaper on your child and it fits just right do to the elastic set up on the diaper. The bigger the baby the farther you pull the diaper around your baby, The small the less stretching you will have to do. Its that simple.

Here is a side shot that shows the trimness of the diaper.

Overall I really love this diaper. I did notice a little bit of the stitching is starting to fray a little tiny bit on the insert but that isn't an issue at all for us. Other than that it works great. We haven't had any leaks with this, it contains squishy poo just wonderfully and cleans up really nice. The laundry tabs stay stuck down during wash as well.

12 Days of Clothmas - Chubby Cheeks Diaper Soap - Day 3

A couple months ago, I had the chance to test some new detergent from Chubby Cherubs. I was hesitant as we had just finished battling a monster of a rash thanks to some scented detergent (that was promised to be safe for sensitive skin). I decided I would use the unscented on our diapers to test it out and save the scented for clothing.

The fantastic folks at Chubby Cherubs Cloth Diaper Naturals were just getting their detergent line running and sent two sample bags - one said "Butt naked" and one said "Regular". Without thinking, I used the "Butt Naked" on our diapers thinking that would be the unscented.

My diapers came out so fresh and clean. Some of the testers were raving that stains disappeared - that did not happen to me after the first wash, but it did after the 2nd wash! Seriously - stains when in, amazingly white diapers came out!I went on their Facebook page raving about how great the detergent worked, and even better the "Butt Naked" was gentle enough for my sensitive skinned kiddo!

THEN I was was informed that the "Butt Naked" was scented...the "Regular" was UN-scented!!

I had noticed a faint scent when I opened the bag of detergent, but assumed that it was just the scent from the "Regular" that had rubbed over in shipping.

Needless to say, I was floored that I had been able to use a scented detergent on my little guy with no reaction from him whatsoever!

I'm always on the lookout for great detergents and Chubby Cheeks Diaper Soap is definitely at the top of my list!

I had the opportunity to review a set of dryer balls from Wooly Snowballz. I have used other dryer balls before but not wool ones. What I really like about the wool balls is that they are felted together so it is one big piece rather than a bunch of loose strands wrapped around each other. The colors on these balls are also very pretty. They offer the multicolored balls (pictured above), brown with white flecks, and white with brown flecks. They are all very pretty. So far the 3 balls that I received to review have held up great. They do make thumping sounds in the dryer but when you put anything heavy in a dryer they will make some noise. If you have a small load it is more noticeable but if you have a bigger load there is less noise. The more balls you have in your dry the more your dryer time will cut down saving you $ on your electric bill. These are great to have!
