Padded Patootie

Today's WAHM I am so excited to introduce. After receiving a super cute diaper for review and using it for a while, I fell in love and actually ordered a custom diaper for my Micah man! With out further adieu, welcome Padded Patooties!

Here is a little bit about Michelle, the talented WAHM behind Padded Patooties:

When I started cloth diapering my son, I was having a horrible time find diapers that didn't leak during naps and nighttime. We used GroVia's during awake time (and liked them very much), but they just didn't have enough coverage in the front for him. We tried some brand-name pockets, but found he would manage to pee out the side of them (while amazingly keeping the diaper dry) during our nighttime nursing sessions. Since I'd sewn for years, I started looking into sewing our own nap-worthy diapers. By this time, we'd already fallen in love with fitteds and wool for nighttime. My husband commented on how professional the diapers I'd made looked (and he was used to the GroVia's). Soon other family members, friends, our pediatrician, and our kids' photographer were noticing and impressed by our diapers. That was when thoughts of starting a small business began.
-What inspired you to start sewing?
My mom taught me to sew. She did it out of necessity, making and repairing our clothes. I've been sewing (using a sewing machine) since I was a teenager (and I'm 40 now, ugh!). I'm a detail-oriented person, so love taking the time to pay attention to the "little things" that are required for good sewing. I love the process of making flat pieces of fabric turn into something beautiful that you can use. It must be a similar feeling to when a person builds a house--enjoying the process, but also the pride that comes with seeing and using the final product.
-Where did you come up with your unique style for your diapers with all the fun colors inside?
The PUL surround started as a way to help prevent leaking at the legs and waist. I generally tried to match the color for the PUL surround to the diaper outer, so it wouldn't be noticeable at the leg elastics. I started out using bamboo velour as the lining because it was so soft, but observed it became quite sherpa-ish after a few washes. Then I discovered cotton velour. It retained is original look and feel with many washes AND it was available in so many beautiful colors! Sometimes I tried to be humorous (like trying to make the inside of a bacon and eggs diaper look like a fried egg), and sometimes I just chose colors that coordinated nicely with the outer and snaps. I soon fell in love with the fact that brightly colored color velour did not tend to show stains and thought "why shouldn't the inner be nearly as cute and fun (poo excepted) as the outer?"

Padded Pattoie can be found online through their websiteFacebook or their Etsy Shop

"The name "Padded Patootie" and slogan "Natural Fiber Padding for you Baby's Bum" came about when our son was learning to crawl, walk, and climb. He did not seemed phased by the many falls, and we joked that it must be because of all the padding on his bum! It reminded us of an episode of "Olivia" (the pig) where she teaches her friend Julian how to ice skate by strapping an "Olivia Patootie Pillow" to his bum to protect him from falls.
I feel so blessed that I am able to do something I love to do, and that it is actually benefitting other people."

I was able to choose a diaper from Padded Patooties and while they had a couple of nice boy prints in stock my eyes kept darting back to this green grassy daisy print diaper. I had to have it. I would (and have multiple times) put it on my boys. Grass is so boyish right? and I have this thing for daisy's so this diaper just rocks all the way!
The diaper features cross over snaps and a 4 rise snap adjustment. It has a single row of snaps across the waist.

The diaper open all the way.
Here is a close up of the snaps. I love how the snaps are set up to look like daisy's with the white on the outside and the yellow middle. So pretty. The colors in the pictures do no justice to the real colors of this diaper.
Cross over snaps for the tiny babies.
Now this is where I get really happy! Look at how pretty the inside of this diaper is! Isn't it amazing! I love how Padded Patootie uses different colors inside of their diapers to make even the inside great and enjoyable.
The Padded Patootie diapers are AIO diapers. The feature PUL around the outside of the diaper (that is the green part). Then the white on the back is made of one layer of bamboo fleece topped with white velour. The tounge part of the diaper (yellow section) is made of one layer heavy bamboo fleece and one layer of regular bamboo fleece, topped by black cotton velour. The diaper also comes with a snap in booster which is made with one layer of heavy bamboo fleece sandwiched between two layers of regular bamboo fleece.

The extra booster can be snaped onto the yellow part of the diaper or if you are not using the extra booster you can snap the yellow part to the shell of the diaper to help hold it in place, although it works fine if its not snapped in place as well. But having it snapped in place makes the diaper a little more daddy friendly.
Isn't the colors and fabric of this diaper fantastic? In the picture above you can also notice her sewing. I was so impressed with her quality of the diaper. You can tell she puts a lot of hard work into the diapers she makes making sure everything is sewn just right. To me, the quality of her diapers is amazing.

Above you can see the snap in soaker that comes with the diaper.

Here is the diaper on Micah. The wings look a little stretched out. I usually put it on him with one or two snaps open in the middle. We use the middle rise snap on him and get a great fit. I love how it is not bulky between the legs.

From the side you can see how trim it is on his back side.

And a back view. I just love the daisy's! The diaper is also trim side to side as well if that makes sense.

I am so please with this Padded Patootie diaper. The quality and workmanship of it is fantastic. We haven't had any leaks or issues with it. We are able to get a great fit on both my boys and the diaper is so incredibly trim. One thing that I like on diapers that these do now have are a double row of snaps across the waist but its not a huge issue on this diaper. Michelle, the WAHM behind the diapers has been so awesome to work with and for the custom diaper I am getting made she has been very great to work with as well. She is very detailed and you can tell she really enjoys making these diapers.

Chunky Cheeks Diapers

Night time is such a dreaded time in my house hold. Not because children scream and throw fits because they don't want to go to bed but because I never know if what I am putting on my 2 1/2 year old will hold up though the night...will we be washing bedding in the morning or will we have clean sheets?

That's where Chunky Cheeks Diapers come in to play. After a year of night time diaper struggles and trying so many different things (even nasty disposables {BARF}) we have  found a couple of diapers that will hold up to my son's ability to pee like a horse.  Our Chunky Cheeks diaper has worked wonders for us. Chandra, the WAHM behind this awesome diaper sent me this cute Monster Rock print fitted diaper to try out on my boys.

This is a new style diaper for Chunky Cheeks Diapers, it is a hybrid fitted. It consists of an outer cotton fabric, a hidden layer of ply fleece and a cotton velour inner.

The hybrid fitted comes with two snap in soakers so you can easily adjust how absorbent you need the diaper to be for your child. They are topped with the soft velour fabric to help keep your little one comfortable. The soakers can snap individually onto the shell of the fitted or they can snap onto each other and then onto the shell. Pretty neat!

This hybrid fitted is a one size (OS) diaper, featuring a fold down rise. You can see the snaps lined up across the front of the diaper as well as the inside in the picture below.
This is the diaper on the smallest size setting using the cross over snaps on the wings. How cute is that?
 Such a fun diaper!
Here is the diaper set to the larger rise setting and the wings snapped as close as they go with out crossing over.
I have used this diaper on both of my boys. Here below, if Micah my 19 pounds 7 month old. The diaper had a great fit on him. I used the rise folded down on him.
The wings crossed over just a tad because he is still smaller.
Here is the rise folded down.
Because Micah is a smaller guy and this is a fitted there was a little extra bulk on his behind but he didn't care. :)
I love the fit around the legs that we got on Micah.
I would love to share pictures of Zeke (2 1/2 yrs) wearing this diaper but lets just say ...that it is pretty much impossible to get a picture of that boy holding still or where there isn't a hand grabbing the diaper. So I will just share about his fit.

We use the rise up on him and the wings are opened up just a little bit. He has a fairly narrow hip width so there is a lot of room for growing in this for him yet...however I really hope he potty trains soon...

The fit around the legs was great, we never had marks left around his legs from using this all night which is great. The only thing I did notice with this is because it has the fold down rise when the rise is not folded over the snaps on the inside of the diaper were up against his skin (which isn't a huge deal) but he did have some snap in prints on his outer hips from where they were up against him all night. But he wasn't bothered by them at all. This diaper is able to hold a lot of pee, It is now, as I said earlier, one of two night time diapers that I have that actually last though the night on Zeke which is great. I was really getting frustrated with him peeing though all the time and HATED HATED putting him in disposables at night but it was the only thing that worked. So this Chunky Cheeks hybrid fitted diaper was a huge night time life savor for me...Zeke...

While trying out awesome diapers I am always curious about the mama behind them. So here is a little big about Chunky Cheeks Diapers and their maker, Chandra!
Chandra started making diapers and covers for her daughter and some friends around 9 months ago. She then opened her etsy shop to start selling her diapers in November.
Chandra and her family are located in Oklahoma. You can find her online at her etsy shop or her facebook page to see all her great products.

Chandra started making diapers for her daughter because she has really sensitive skin. She couldn't have any kind of synthetic fabric against her skin, no microfleece, no minky etc. Her skin also really needed something more breathable then PUL but Chandra needed something that was going to keep her couch dry as well. Being pretty oblivious to the WAHM world at the time, it was really hard for her to find diapers for her daughter that didn't cause her to blister and still let her skin breath. Eventually Chandra discovered fleece covers and bamboo fitteds and that's where it all really started. She started making fleece covers for her an then kind of combined the idea of the bamboo fitted with the fleece cover to make the two's which is what she started out selling. After being introduced to the WAHM world of hybrid fitted, she fell in love with them.
Chandra currently only makes the hybrid fitteds and fleece in two's. The main reason for that is she only likes to make things that her daughter would be able to wear. It was hard to find something that would work for her and she knows her little girl isn't the only one out there with sensitive skin issues. You can also find other diapering accessories like fleece covers, wipes and wool longies at Chunky Cheek Diapers.

Snuggy Baby Ring Sling

in the Ergo, on our way to
the Watermelon Festival!
When my son was born two years ago, I didn't really consider myself a "baby-wearer."  I mean, I had a Moby Wrap that he was in almost every day, and we had another carrier we used when he was a little older, but we also used our stroller a lot of times.  But after being a mom for a few years, I feel like I can say, "yes, I babywear" and it's true.  I don't think you have to sell your stroller and only wear your baby to be a "baby-wearer".  I don't think you need to wear your baby every single day to babywear.  I think that if you use a carrier and enjoy wearing your baby, you can consider yourself to be a baby-wearing mama.  I will say that wearing my son has made a lot of things a lot easier!!  When he was a newborn, wearing him in our Moby was one of the easiest ways to make him happy.  And when we go to festivals or the zoo, it's often easier to wear him than take a stroller (and sometimes, its easier with the stroller, so we have somewhere to put our things, or if it's 100 degrees outside!).  Just thought I'd explain my thoughts on babywearing a little before I began :)
Myles in his Moby, at around 3 weeks old

My babywearing journey began with a Moby (which I was kind of in love with).  I also had an Infantino carrier than was similar to an Ergo, which was OK, but not my favorite.  And that was it.  But once my son outgrew the Moby, I found the other carrier to be kind of a pain to get him in and out of for quick trips into the store and things.  So, I got a sling....not a ring sling, but one that I had to measure myself and order the correct size.  I loved it.  It was so easy and quick to use!!  I had seen many of my friends with their newborns in beautiful ring slings, but didn't really understand how they worked.... the rings, adjusting them, etc.  So I never tried them.
I found Snuggy Baby on etsy and was drawn in by the beautiful prints they had for their wraps and slings.  And then I found out that it was a WAHM business, and I liked them even more.  Snuggy Baby was started by a mom with two young children.  She loved the look of ring slings, but couldn't find a place to buy them.  So, she decided to make her own.  It took a while to develop a fashionable, comfortable sling, but, in my opinion, she's done exactly that!!

Although I was excited when Snuggy Baby sent me one of their ring slings, I wasn't sure how I was going to like it--would it really be more convenient than the sling I already had?  How do you adjust it?  Isn't it a pain having to adjust the sling every time I put my son in it?  And then I got it.  First of all, it's beautiful.  They sent me their Rainbow Chevron print (I had a really hard time deciding....soooo many beautiful prints!!) and it's absolutely gorgeous!!  The colors are so vibrant and fun!
seriously....gorgeous and fun!!
They also sent along an instructional video.  Thank. Goodness.  This was exactly what I needed.  It explained everything I had been confused about!  It showed exactly how to wear your baby at different stages (newborn, hip-carry, etc.) and how to make it fit!  And guess what.... it works!!   And it's really easy!  You can actually adjust the sling while your child is in it--make them higher or lower, and move them in closer or further away.  I had no idea it was so easy (so, make sure you check out their videos, which are also online, if you have questions on how to use a ring sling!  The videos are really clear and informative).

So, on to how it works.  This sling is really great.  The fabric is quite thick and sturdy; I had no worries about it sagging or anything with my 27 lb. toddler.  And he loves it.  He's really comfortable in it.  In fact, when I first got it, he kept asking for me to take him for a "ride" in it, all over the house.
The quality of this sling is absolutely amazing.  The stitching is perfect, the fabric is lovely (and really, the prints Snuggy Baby has are amazing!!  Be sure to check them out online), the rings are so strong....everything about this sling screams quality.
The rings themselves are nice and solid.  They don't have any seams/welds, so I don't have to worry that they might bend or break.
shoulder padding; nice, strong rings
I also really like that the shoulder of this sling is padded slightly.  It makes it more comfortable for me when wearing my son around for long periods of time.
The length of the fabric is also great--long enough that it will fit many sizes of women, but not too long that it gets in the way.  I also feel like this would be great for breastfeeding, either with the baby in the sling or out of it--you could use the sling tail as a cover for while you're out and about.  It's multi-functional!

at the baseball game!  I think the
rings should be a little higher,
but Myles was comfy!
Overall, I really really love this ring sling and can't wait to use it when our new baby gets here in a few weeks!  I've found that slings are the easiest thing to use when pregnant, and we used our Snuggy Baby sling just last week when we went to a baseball game (and I was 34 weeks pregnant).  It doesn't get in the way of my belly, and unlike the Ergo, I don't need to make anything clip around it.  Now, I'm still trying to get the hang of adjusting everything--sometimes I don't get the fabric quite right through the rings and have a hard time getting everything in the right place.  But I know with more practice (and a lighter baby, not a heavy toddler) it'll get easier and easier.  And now that I've tried ring slings, I'd really like another :)  Snuggy Baby just has so many beautiful colors and fabrics (I know their linen sling would be great for the summer!).

Snuggy Baby also makes some other carriers y'all should check out!  They have some beautiful, knit wraps that are similar to something like the Moby, but not as stretchy, so you can use it longer without it sagging from the weight of a heavier child.  They also make Mei Teis.  The other thing that I really love, is they make child's doll slings!!  They're absolutely adorable, and how fun for a little one to get to have their own sling to wear their dolls or stuffed animals in!!  I'm thinking about getting one for my son and all his stuffed animals!
The other thing they make is wet bags.  Now, I didn't get a chance to try one out, but based on the quality of this ring sling, I'm going to assume that the wet bags are great.  The prints they have are just so cute!  And they have sooo many to choose from--various sizes, prints, etc.  Next time we're on the market for a new wet bag, I'm definitely going to check here first!

And lucky for all of you, Snuggy Baby has offered a giveaway of a $75 e-gift-certificate to one of our readers!  So you'll get to choose what product you want to try--wrap, ring sling, doll carrier, etc.  Be sure to enter below!!
Snuggy Baby has also offered a 10% off coupon code for their website, until Sept. 23rd:  use code ADDICTION at checkout.

Smellephant Fluff

I recently found an awesome WAHM cloth diaper shop through Instagram, and I am so happy to be able to share her products with you all today! Smellephant Fluff, created and made by Kendra, has some of the cutest diapers I have seen in quite a while. Kendra sells her diapers on both Etsy and Hyenacart, and you can catch sneak previews via either her Facebook page or her Instagram account.

I received this gorgeous breastfeeding diaper to review. (Did you know that Aug 1 is the start of World Breastfeeding Week? Talk about perfect timing!) This is an All In Two style diaper that is made from super soft minky on the outer and the inner lining, with two organic bamboo fleece and Zorb snap-in inserts.

I think this diaper is the softest, plushiest minky I have ever felt! It is my absolute favorite in my stash right now because it's just so adorable and velvety.

The snap placement on the wings of this diaper is really unique. You can see in this picture above that there are three snaps on the top and one on the bottom there. The space between the first top snap and the second two is a feature that I've never seen before on a diaper, and I have to say I just love the way it works.

This is the other wing so that you can see the snaps here. Again there is the space between the snaps, but on this wing the space is filled with snaps that face the front of the diaper so that you have cross over snapping options. I feel like the spaced out snaps really help prevent wing droop and I got such a nice fit on Ava's skinny waist with the snaps spaced like this.

This is the inside of the diaper, which is all lined with plushy minky. The inserts snap together, and then into the diaper which gives the ease of an All In One with the quick dry capability of an All In Two.

I really liked the way the inserts snap together on this diaper. Again, they have a really unique design. Typically I see diapers that have one set of snaps to attach the inserts to each other and another set of snaps on the bottom insert to attach it to the diaper shell. With these inserts, there is just one set of snaps. Instead of a rounded back for the snaps on the bottom soaker, there is another snapping portion on the back so that both soakers click together and then the back of the snap can click into the shell. I feel like this reduces snap bulk on Ava's back since you have only two snap spots that are just stacked on top of each other.

I love the fit of this diaper on Ava! I was able to get a really snug, soft fit on both her legs and tummy. I love that no matter where you have the rise snaps set, you can still see the breastfeeding logo clearly. These diapers fit from 10-32+ pounds, and I suspect that this diaper will last us well beyond 32 pounds!

Here is a side shot with both soakers in, so it looks a little extra fluffy! I love all that absorbency for nap times though, and if you don't need as much absorbency you can always just use one soaker for a great trim fit.

This is the front view of the diaper. It looks like there is wing droop, but that is due to my very wiggly toddler not sitting still while I put it on. All the other times we've used it, I've had zero wing droop!

Overall, I just love this diaper! If you are looking for some fun minky diapers, look no further. Smellephant Fluff offers mostly All In Twos and Pockets, but does offer fitteds, newborn, and All In Ones on request. My favorite thing offered by Smellephant Fluff are the Character Diapers. I am absolutely dying to get my hands on a Lorax All In Two! Make sure to check her out on Facebook, but watch out: you'll be just as hooked as I am!

RubyRumps Fitted Diaper

For the past month or so, I've had the chance to try out a great fitted diaper--RubyRump's hemp fitted diaper.  RubyRump's is a business owned by a WAHM, Marion.  Marion lives in Washington, and has 5 children.  Her last three kids were cloth diapered, and after learning to make cloth diapers, decided to start her own business-RubyRumps.  She makes fitted diapers, covers, and also AIO diapers.  Marion sent me one of her organic hemp fitted diapers to try.
The etsy shop describes the make-up of the diaper well: "The outside layers are organic hemp fleece and the inside layers are a combination of organic hemp/cotton jersey and organic hemp/cotton fleece."
And let me tell you, with all the hemp in there, this diaper is absorbent!  But before I get ahead of myself, here's what the diaper looks like:
It's pretty simple in design, but does the job well.  The diapers only come in velcro/hook and loop, and I found it to be really strong.  We've had no issues with it rolling up or anything yet, and they stayed stuck down in the washing machine (so NO diaper chains, which is one of my diapering pet peeves!).
The absorbency of the diaper is completely sewn in, so no snapping or adding layers, which is nice--no searching for the insert to snap in while folding the laundry!

The only problem with the absorbency being completely sewn in is that it takes longer to dry.  Now that it's pretty much summertime here in Virginia, I've been line-drying my diapers and haven't noticed that this diaper takes excessively longer than the others out on the line.  But I did notice, on rainy days when I dried everything in the dryer, that the diaper wasn't completely dry after one cycle.  Because I'm lazy, most nights I just take the diapers out of the diaper and leave them in the basket to fold in the morning anyway, so I usually just laid this one out over the edge of the basket and it was dry by morning.  Depending on what other nighttime diapers I used, this isn't the only diaper that needs a little extra dry-time, so sometimes I just added an extra 20 minutes to the cycle and it was dry.  Overall, not a big deal, but just something to be aware of!
And in case you noticed above, I did say "other nighttime diapers," meaning, this diaper is one of our nighttime diapers!!  If you've read any of my other posts, you'll know that my son is a super-soaker.  We have very limited options for nighttime, and this one passed the test!!  Because these diapers are made with so much hemp, I had high hopes for nighttime.  And after washing it and having it take so long to dry (yes, it takes longer to dry, but that also means extra absorbent!), I knew I had to give it a shot overnight.  And it worked.  Like a charm.  I paired it with a wool cover and had complete success!  Hooray!!  This diaper wasn't even completely soaked through by morning.  So as far as absorbency goes, this diaper is fantastic!
Another reason I love hemp is because it's so trim!  Major absorbency without the bulk.  This diaper is really quite trim for such an absorbent fitted diaper.

I used it only at naptime and nighttime (really the only times we use fitteds), so I can't say how it fits under clothing, but looking at this thing, it is super duper trim.  I actually had to pick out specific wool covers that fit more tightly during naps/nightime so they wouldn't fall down!  So I'd say this diaper would work great as a daytime diaper.
again....so trim.
The only issue we really had with this diaper was the fit.  And actually, we only had trouble in the legs; the waist was great!  I asked for a large, but I'm thinking we could have gotten by with a medium.  The weight ranges said a large would fit 16+ pounds, but I'm thinking that they run pretty large and it depends on the shape of the baby.  Myles has tiny little legs, so we got some gaping around them.  It was never an issue, as far as poop goes (I think it helps with fitteds that you have a cover to hold everything in), but just something to be aware of.  I have some friends with kids who weigh the same as Myles but have a completely different build, and I'm pretty sure this diaper would fit just fine on them.
You can see how it gapes on his right leg.  But when I made sure to pull the diaper up as high as I could before fastening it, it helped a lot.  And because we always wear a cover, we never had any problem with the gap causing a leak.

Overall, we love this diaper!  It is SO absorbent, and its really great to have another option for nighttime!  I love that its made with organic materials, so I feel really good with it against Myles' skin.  In my experience, the sizing runs large, but I think it depends on the build of the baby.  And, it just looks cute--who doesn't love a cute, fitted bum.....

*on a side note, Myles is starting potty training and we're having a really hard time keeping diapers on him!  Can you tell what he's trying to do in the picture on the right??  I have to keep telling him "hands off!!"

Anyway.... we really like this diaper!  If you're looking for a super absorbent fitted to add to your stash, this is it!  And they're also really affordable, at only $18.  Be sure to check out RubyRump's on facebook and on etsy.
Marion is also offering a great discount on her store for our readers--30% off, using the code RR30!  To order, check out what's available in her etsy shop, or if you don't see what you want, she can always do custom orders; just send her a message through etsy or facebook.
Also, if you live in or are visiting Port Townsend, WA, her diapers are for sale in a shop on Water St, downtown, called "Seams to Last."  Be sure to check them out!

Momma Made

Recently, I was given the chance to review a diaper from Momma Made, a WAHM who makes cloth diapers.  The Momma behind Momma Made is Lindsey, who has two young children.  She's been making diapers since January--she has a newer business, so make sure to show her some love! :)  And with how cute her diapers are, I don't think that will be a problem.  Lindsey sent me a super soft, minky pocket diaper to try.  It's absolutely adorable!

I can honestly say that I've never seen a diaper like this before!  It's mostly minky fabric, but it also has some PUL that goes across the back, creating a super cute look.  I absolutely love this woodland's print!  It's a little girly for my little guy, but he's been wearing it anyway!  And it's soooo soft, he's never complained! :)  Here's what it looks like on the back:

I absolutely love the combo of the minky and the PUL.  It looks so cute and is so so soft.  The snaps are also colored and coordinating.  I thought at first they were just colored to match the diaper (which they are), but they're also color coded to help you figure out which snaps to use.  The snaps and wings are actually angled, which not only looks cute, but also helped me get a better fit on my son.  Basically, if you can see on the picture below, rather than snapping the wings on the snaps that are one on top of the other, you actually use the colors that match-- so, brown on top and brown on bottom, or the green on top and the green on bottom.  It's a little hard to explain, but really easy once you try it out.  If you can see on the snaps below, it starts with two brown snaps on the left side, angled slightly to match with the angled wings.

color coordinating snaps
So, how did this diaper work for us?  It worked great!  I didn't receive any inserts to go with the pocket diaper, so I can't vouch for how they'd work, but the diaper itself worked great.  We got a really good fit on my skinny son, with no gaping at the legs.  And like I said before, the inside of the diaper is made out of minky material and is SO soft!  The elastic is also inside the minky, so we had absolutely no issues with this diaper leaving red marks on his legs.
inside of the diaper; pocket above
The pocket itself is nice and large, if you can tell from the picture above.  It's a little lower on the back, and has a nice, big flap to cover the opening, which I really like.  That way there's not much of a chance of it opening and letting the inserts touch baby's skin.  The pocket also opens all the way across, which is helpful for stuffing.
We've been using this diaper for a few weeks now and have had absolutely no leaks!  And as I said before, it's just so soft that this is one of the first diapers I've been reaching for.  Here's a front view of my son wearing it (and no, it's not a giant bruise on his stomach--it's marker :) ):
sorry this is blurry....
The picture makes it look a little small, but it is actually a really good fit.  This diaper is a little small....not sure if the rise is big enough to fit a super tall baby, but Myles is pretty tall for his age, and aside what it looks like in this picture, we do actually have some room to grow.  He's 25lbs, pretty tall and skinny, and on the highest rise setting.

Here's a few other "side" shots.  I would have gotten more picture of him in the diaper, but geesh, are toddlers hard to get pictures of!!!

This diaper is a little bulky, I think it's because of the minky.  But it still fits in all his pants just fine-I think it just "poofs" out a little when it's not contained.  However, this isn't a problem for us--actually, it helps keep his pants up! :)

Overall, we absolutely love this diaper!  It's absolutely adorable, and definitely the softest diaper we own.  It works great, and is affordable.  Be sure to check out Momma Made's facebook page and hyena cart to get a diaper of your own.  Lindsey also makes AI2 diapers, hybrid fitteds, and some smaller items, like nursing pads, and diaper keychains.  If you'd like to purchase any of them, she's offering a 10% discount for Cloth Diaper Addiction fans!  Just let her know in the checkout notes that Cloth Diaper Addiction sent you, and she'll apply 10% off.
