TotsBots EasyFit OneSize Snaps

We all (should) know that my favorite diaper is the Totsbots easyfits. I was very excited about them coming out with new prints and minky inside but was very hesitant about wanting to even consider using their new snap diapers. I was really afraid they would just be way to small on my older son who is diapered. However I was getting pretty desperate at getting my hands on their new prints so I decided to give one a try. Here is a stock photo of one of the snap diaper. As you can see the tabs are shorter than their aplix diapers. This is supposed to allow for new babies to wear the diaper with out having to need cross over snaps.

So here is the super cute Three Little Pigs print. (its way brighter in person). It has the three rows of rise snaps and the double row of snaps across the waist. Sorry my picture is kind of crappy. :)

I decided to compare the waists of the snaps (left) and the aplix (right). They look very similar in size when they are both closed up as tight as they will go.

So the ultimate test is on my 2 year old who is around 30-32 pounds. These diapers weight range go up to 35+ pounds. We still use it on the middle rise setting and have no issues with that. For the waist snaps we have 3 sets of snaps open. We did get a good fit on Zeke with the diaper with some room to grow. If your child has really big hips they would probably not fit in to this diaper very long.
 Booty shot! Nice fit!
I love how trim this diaper is. There is less bulk on the from with snaps than aplix (at least I think there is) and the back side is super trim as well!

The second big test was on my newborn Micah. I waited until his cord fell off before trying it out on him. The rise is set to the smallest rise and the waist snaps are closed all the way
as you can see the diaper is not to overwhelming and huge on him, it has a nice fit.
there is a little bit of a puff on his bottom but by the time you get clothes on him its not really noticeable. The fit around his skinny legs was great as well.

And another angle of the diaper on him.

*UPDATE*
Micah is now 6months old and around 18 pounds. We still use these diapers on him and they work great, the rise is now on the middle setting for him and the waist is open just a little bit more. I think the snap option of the diaper would be best for skinner babies/toddlers. My 2 1/2 year old also still fits into these with the rise all the way open and about 4 of the waist snaps open. He still fits great into this diaper at around 35 pounds.

The Sili Squeeze!

The Sili Squeeze is made out of silicone which is BPA-PVC and Phthalate free. It comes with four pieces that assembly together to create a reusable food pouch for your little one to eat from.
I received the 4 ounce Sili Squeeze with a spill proof nipple as well as a Squeeze with Ease spout.

The pieces are the pouch, the ring which attaches to the nipple/seal and the lid to help prevent leaks when not in use.

Here it is!

The lid has a knob in the middle top of it which fits right into the nipple which blocks it from leaking when your little one isn't using it

The nipple is attached permanently to the seal which screws onto the ring at the mouth of the pouch. I was nervous about not being able to get it completely clean but we have not had any issues.

The ring has a divot that lines up to the matching spot on the pouch.

Ta-da!
(I didn't realize that it had this until I tried to use it once and it kept leaking! Go me!)

The nipple/seal combo screw right on similar to a bottle or sippy cup. It seems tight the first few times that you use it but that is to ensure that it won't leak after continued use.

This is where we ran into a small issue. While we were trying to tighten the nipple/seal to the ring, the pouch would twist and make the divot not line up. Once you figure out how to hold the ring and pouch together, you can make sure that it doesn't spin. It will also get easier to put the nipple on after a few uses. They make it tight so that you won't have leaking as you use it more often.

Kynlie loves to squeeze it. I love that it doesn't squirt all over!

She kept trying to figure out how it didn't spill out when she would shake it. She loves to make a mess with our "spill proof" cups. We put juice in here too and it never spilled.

Sili Squeeze it great for babies of all ages. My 3 year old and 5 year old each were so happy when they got a turn to use it as well. Their favorite was homemade applesauce that they got to bring in the van!

Sili Squeeze is amazing for purees, sauces, fruits or veggies. We even put homemade pudding in it a few times and it worked great.

They are great for on the go, at home, for a snack or a meal. It helps to build your little ones independence and self feeding.

She gets so excited when I put a treat in her Sili Squeeze! Kynlie's favorites are yogurt and "smoothies".
You can find all sorts of recipes here to use with your Sili Squeeze..

To fill it, we use a couple of different techniques. We used a basic spoon to fill it but that was time consuming although worked well with not any spilling. We also used a basic food funnel. Depending on what type of puree or food you are putting in, this may not work. It really depends on the thickness and consistency. Pudding did not work with the funnel.

Sili Squeeze come in two sizes (4oz and 6oz) and there are a variety of colors to choose from. You can also choose to get the Squeeze with Ease which has an open end on the nipple so that older kids can enjoy them as well.

Overall, we loved the Sili Squeeze. The kids still fight over who gets to have a turn with it. Although it was tricky to figure out at first how to get it to not leak and to get to the point where the nipple would screw on easier, we still love it. I love that fact that you can reuse it and make your own foods to put in it.

You can find Sili Squeeze on Facebook here.
You can purchase Sili Squeeze here.

We would like to say Thank You to Sili Squeeze for sponsoring a giveaway for our 12 Days of Clothmas!

LaLaBye Baby

I recently was contacted by Melissa, the mama behind LaLaBye Baby cloth diapers. She asked if I would be interested in reviewing one of her diapers for her. After checking out her website I agreed to a review. While browsing her site and checking out her products I realized that not only is her name a nursery song but all the names of her diapers are as well which is really cute! I was able to pick out which color and I chose Three Blind Mice (because I don't have any grey diapers!).

Here is the 'Three Blind Mice' diaper I received in the mail. I love the color and its uniqueness to my stash. So cute!
The diaper is a one size cloth diaper with 4 rise options, newborn, small, medium and large. It also features cross over snaps for the tiny newborns as well as hip snaps to prevent wing drooping. All of which are great features to have on a diaper.
The diaper comes with two inserts, a small and large. The inserts are compatible and can snap together, or be used separate, depending on the needs of your child. The inserts are made out of bamboo and are very soft and really trim.
Above you can see how they snap together and below shows the size differences.
When I first opened my fluffy mail I loved the color and though it was great. Very simple and plan but I really liked it. Then I opened up the waist snaps and was blown away by the rainbow of colors across the front of the diaper. They were beautiful! My husband thought I was a little  crazy with my reaction. :) The colors are not your typical rainbow colors but nice unique colors. I am not sure if the snaps are different on other colored diapers or not but this is so much fun!
Well what kind of diaper is this anyways? This is a cool diaper because its a two in one kind of deal. You can use the diaper as a pocket diaper and stuff the insert in either end because it has two openings, also known as a 'sleeve' style diaper where the insert will agitate out on its own in the wash so no un-stuffing wet inserts. SCORE! I hate touching wet inserts. If your not a pocket fan then you can...
...use this diaper as an AI2 diaper! There is a flap over the front of the diaper to tuck the insert under to help hold it in place and you can also snap it into the front of the diaper with the snap on the insert into a snap that is inside the opening of the pocket.

Here is the diaper in use on my 5 month old. He is around 17 pounds when this picture was taken. I have it set on the small snap setting for him and on the waist I leave just the white snaps open.
Here is the diaper all secure and ready to be used.
The diaper looks puffy in the picture but it is really a nice trim diaper. (the elastic marks on his leg were from a different brand of diaper)
A back view shows the rump.
Now the fun part: My thoughts on this diaper...

There are a lot of things I really enjoy about this diaper. The snaps are all great, I always like having the hip snaps on diapers as well as cross over snaps for tiny babies. The 4 rise snaps make this diaper  fit a wider range of babies as well. The fit on Micah was great every time. We actually had to use this diaper for the first time as a night time diaper which I tend to avoid with new diapers not knowing how they will preform. I placed both inserts in the pocket and used the diaper for about 12 hours over night with out a single leak. However I would never be able to do that with our 2 1/2 year old because he pees though EVERYTHING which is getting  old real quick. For daytime use I have also been very please. No leak issues with the diaper being used as an ai2 or a pocket diaper which is nice.

Micah seems to really like having a stay dry diaper on him so using this as an AI2 isn't the greatest option for him because as soon as he pees, he fusses and wants to be changed so using the diaper as a pocket is much more our style. We have used it a few times in a row with the AI2 and it did work with out any leaks.

One thing that I would change about this diaper is the pocket opening in the back of the diaper. It is really small and I have bigger hands (thanks to my lovely dutch heritage) so I don't like stuffing it though that  hole but the hole in the front of the diaper is nice and big and very easy to stuff inserts into.

I would recommend this diaper to people. Why? Because I  really think this is a great diaper. We have had total success with this diaper, no issues at all. I think the price is great for a pocket, the quality is great as well.

Guess what? You have the chance to enter to win a LaLaBye Baby diaper of your own! How exciting! Just fill out the simple Rafflecopter form below to be entered.
