Usborne Touchy-Feely Books

My husband and I are avid readers and we long to pass that down to our children. We have bookcases in each of their rooms with books, along with a bookcase in the living room just for children's books. We sit for the longest time every day and read - our own books and books from the library.

One series that has been a favorite in our house since our oldest son was itty bitty is the Usborne Touch-Feely Books.

Each page engages young minds by presenting a different texture. We have a handful of touchy-feely books, and in like-fashion, our youngest is drawn to these books just like his big brothers were at this age.
The bear has a bumpy nose...
A scratchy tongue...
A fuzzy body...
and furry ears!

And of course, the hard covers make great teethers ;-)

Do your children love to read? Do they have any favorite books?

  1. We love the "Biscuit" book series, being owners of a beloved dog named Biscuit (who looks nothing like the dog illustrated in the series). The series has several "pet and play" books. My daughter is still a little young to "get" the pet part, but she seems to really love reading those books :-)
